A year has passed and you are now a one-year-old! I have watched you develop from a newborn unable to talk and lift her head to a toddler talking and cruising around our home. I have so much to thank you for, because though you may not know it, you have brought me so much joy.
Thank you for the joy you have brought to my life. From the moment you wake up to the time you go to sleep at night, you bring me joy. I especially enjoy our times in the mornings together. As I get you dressed for daycare, I always ask you, “What did you dream about?” You babble about your dreams with an occasional “Hey!” We giggle over your dreams, as I tell you whatever I can remember from mine.
Taylor, there are many dreams I have for you, dreams of you being a woman of virtue. I dream of you growing into a woman who knows God and blesses those around her, whether with kind words or kind deeds. I dream of you showing compassion to others and considering others feelings when you speak and act. I dream of you in a career that brings you happiness and a sense of accomplishment. Whether you are a doctor, writer, teacher, or businesswoman, mommy just wants you to love what you do. I dream of you one day meeting your soulmate, a man who treats you like his queen and never leaves you doubting whether you are loved. I dream of you one day knowing the love I feel every time I look into your sweet face. This love is indescribable.
My sweetest Taylor, life will bring you through a whirlwind of emotions. You will sometimes doubt yourself and find yourself on a search for life’s meaning. Always remember who you are and that you are loved.
