About Janet
Well, here I am, having a baby again. Marlee is now 7, and Bradley is 5. I also have an 11-year-old stepson, Jonah. My husband’s name is Rob. Then there’s me – Janet. My Sweet 16 was almost 24 years ago. I now have a full-time job working for my kids on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
I grew up in a small town in central NJ and graduated from the University of Rhode Island. Before we had kids I worked as an account manager in the intimate apparel industry. It was a job that sparked conversation with mostly woman – and all men.
A large portion of my days consists of making breakfast, lunch and dinner, and shuttling the kids to and from school and to all of their after-school activities. After homework, reading and baths, the kids are in bed – leaving me time to go out with my husband and take advantage of the New York City nightlife. I relish the movies, the theater, good restaurants and travel. I’m also an excellent athlete who loves tennis, skiing and horseback-riding, three things I’ve stopped doing since becoming pregnant. I like to read books and magazines. I am craving – in fact, I’d kill for! – a plate of risotto with white truffles right now. I love spending time with my family, including my parents and brother who live in the tri-state area. I still have time to hang out with my friends, go to the gym and do lunches with the girls. I’m actively involved in numerous charities.
I really am very lucky and love my life.
