Taylor Miriam is turning six weeks old on Tuesday; I can hardly believe how quickly time has passed. She is back to Gold Medalist status regarding her feedings. Her latch has improved despite over-lactation problems. She is now able to latch without my guidance! She’s such a big girl! She has also been very playful lately, tracking both her father and me, and giving us a big, toothless smile. She has truly blossomed into a happy baby with lots of personality.
I have also loved watching my husband blossom into a wonderful father. These past weeks, I have enjoyed watching him in his new role as Taylor’s daddy. He has evolved into a gentle father and attentive husband. I enjoy watching his big, manly hands clumsily changing tiny Taylor’s diaper and combing her hair. He has been a huge help to me and a very active father. He’s changed diapers, taken care of household chores, rocked Taylor to sleep, and relieved me when I am absolutely exhausted. For his first Father’s Day, I really wanted him to feel extra- special.
Well as I have been told, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach! My husband had a special request for his Father’s Day menu: crawfish fettuccine, roasted vegetables, and red velvet cake. Of course, I made sure to oblige his request. It was great seeing my husband enjoy his day with both Taylor and me, as well as his family. It is always great to celebrate and appreciate the ones you love.
