Summer in the City
School is winding down and I am really looking forward to summer. The past few weeks have been crazy busy with class picnics, plays and birthday celebrations. I have somehow managed to be at all my children’s events and still be there to nurse Dana every few hours. Sometimes I bring Dana along to the events and hope she sleeps through them or at least does not wake up and need to eat. The kids always want Dana around at school, since she is like a celebrity. Everyone wants to hold her and play with her. The only thing the kids seem to mind is if I ever have to nurse her in public. They told me that they would be horrified so I always carry a bottle and formula just in case I do need to feed her.
School is almost over and then the kids will start camp. My schedule will be so much easier once they are in camp. No more running across town at 7:40 in the morning. They will be picked up on our corner at 8:15. I get 35 more minutes more in the morning to get them ready. What a piece of cake that will be. Some more good news is that Rob is taking a new job starting June 30th. We went through a rough patch when the company rob worked for literally went down the drain. He had worked at Bear Stearns for 12 years and then the company imploded. Rob was home a lot and was able to help me out with the kids and taking them to school. I was glad he was around, but it will be good for all of us once he starts his new job. We are going away this week for five days to Turks and Caicos with Dana. After all that Rob has been through, he really needs some time to relax and de-stress. Marlee and Bradley will be with my parents. I have not told them yet that we are going away and taking Dana. I dread telling them, but I am looking forward to going away and being with my husband and Dana.
