If Men Had Babies …
I went for another doctor’s appointment and, this time, I was pleasantly surprised when I got on the scale. I haven’t gained weight in the last three weeks. I finally slowed down a bit on my eating of junk food and all those sugar waters that are just loaded with carbs. I have another appointment in three weeks and I also just booked an appointment for week 36.
At week 36 I am going to have a full sonogram. I booked the sonogram for 8 am so that my husband can come and we can bring the kids. They were so excited about coming and being able to see the baby in my belly. They think they’re going to be able to see if it is a boy or girl. I’m happy that they’re still so excited about this baby.
I am still feeling pretty good. My two big complaints are that my skin is so itchy from being stretched out and from the dry heat. By the end of the day I cannot stop scratching my belly. The other not-so-pleasant feeling is that stretching of my ligaments under my belly. Ouch! It can really hurt and, apparently, it is worse with the third child. Sometimes it wakes me in the night when I try and flip from one side to another.
Rob’s biggest complaint is my raging hormones. I have no idea what he is talking about. He says I can be moody and snap at him. I don’t think I am any different than I have been in the eight and half years that we’ve been married. You would think that with this being my third pregnancy, he would understand and know how to handle a crazy hormonal and now slightly older “baby carrier.” I guess not. Just remember, though, if men had babies there would be a lot of only children about!
