WEEK 33
The Nesting Stage Begins
Well, it’s definitely time to start organizing and getting ready for the baby. This means making room or should I say taking away a room from my daughter, Marlee. She has kindly agreed to allow the baby nurse to sleep in her room with the baby. She will then sleep with Bradley and they will take turns sleeping on the top and bottom bunk bed. Marlee has also given up a couple of drawers and closet space for the baby, all without tears. My little girl is so sweet and kind. When my husband and I moved in together, it nearly killed me to give him one drawer. All of the baby toys, blankets, towels, clothes and stuff that I have saved have been washed and put away ready for use.
There are some things that I still need to get, like a car seat, bouncy seat, stroller, diapers, wipes and all the necessities. I am so excited to shop for these things and get everything. I asked Rob when he wanted to go and he told me he didn’t. I was absolutely shocked and horrified. My loving, adoring husband has no interest in doing any of this shopping with me. He told me to go buy whatever I need, and spend whatever I need to, but he can’t do it the third time around. He told me that he hated doing it the other times. Well, that was news to me. I have no one to shop with. Guess what will be news to Rob? Yes, he is going shopping with me. If I have to do it, so does he!
